PhotoGravure Workshop
Dec 7 + 14 - Polymer photogravure Workshop with Berel Lutsky
Available spots
Service Description
Polymer photogravure is a relatively new process that has re-enabled artists to make photogravures by retooling what was a toxic process. Working direct to the plate via the inkjet printer eliminates the need for a film positive and aquatint screen further simplifies the process by requiring a single exposure. In this workshop you will learn the process of direct-to-plate polymer photogravure. Any digital image, or drawing, painting, collage or other image that can be scanned can become a photogravure. You will learn how to capture, and process the image, print it with an inkjet printer to the plate, expose and develop the plate, and print it to paper.
