Alecia McBride

Alecia McBride (They/Them) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. Their work combines emotional vulnerability through distortions within their bird imagery. As per their naturalist approach, a lot of their reclaimed wood comes from local businesses, dumpsters, donations, and reusing of older pieces. While the most recent work has been more traditionally keeping to forms, in the future they hope to explore expressionist technical skills.Their most recent work was featured at the Indiana Dune Birds in Art Festival, which engaged in the conversation of conservation. They are also currently an Artist in Residence at Gallery 224 for their ArtServancy program creating work about Wisconsin based birds.
